I have been trying to use Proton
Calendar for the past week and here are some of my thoughts
about it.
The website's UI/UX is very good.
It's very responsive and its can adapt to smaller sizes. It
reacts better than how Google Calendar would on small widths.
.And I'm pretty sure they have tabbing mechanism on the
website locked down.
You cannot make tasks in the calendar, they only give you a
basic event one and that's it. You are out of luck if you
use calendar as a way to make tasks. The event task is also
lacking in things like persistent notification and the remainder
option is bog standard (i would like to see X days left before Y
kind of notification)
Since I'm on the free
plan. The amount of calendar types have been limited to 3, and
that's including the holiday calendar that Proton Calendar
gives you! So your only option to make use of that third
calendar is to delete the holiday one and make a new one, since
they don't let you make new events in that type.
If
you would like to make more than 3 types of calendar there is a
subscription for that. Unfortunately, the very basic type for
making more calendar types is tied to Email Plus option. Since i
don't really use email that often the benefit is close to
none. .It would be very nice to get the calendar perks but with
other subscription plan, like the Drive Plus for example.
